Ok so what's this about America spending 1% as much on feeding our own as we do killing others?

Well Inquisitor, in 2003 America's Government spent 4.5 billion on WIC (food stamps). Meanwhile in a secret air-conditioned fully-automatic SUV bunker, America's Government spent 378.6 billion on the DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE, which is a tricky thing to name a department that makes weapons and goes into other countries and kills people. How much "defending America" do you feel they do?

So you divide the tiny number by the huge number, and it comes to about one percent. Sure, this doesn't take into account other forms of welfare... but it also doesn't take into account the FBI, CIA, NSA, police of all sizes and shapes....
